warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Los_Angeles' for 'PST/-8.0/no DST' instead in /var/www/vhosts/greatiphonetips.com/httpdocs/main/includes/common.inc(1537) : eval()'d code on line 1.

Setup Verizon Email on iPhone

1. Choose Settings, then select Mail, Contacts, Calendars
2. Under accounts, select Add Account....
3. On the add account screen, choose Other
4. Enter your Name, email address (xxxx@verizon.net), password, and a Description of the account and choose Save
5. At this point, you'll see a message that says Looking Up Account Information and then Verifying Account information
6. It took about 2-3 minutes to set up and I was connected to WiFi at home during set up - it might take a little longer if you're on the 3G or Edge network
7. Eventually, I had a message pop up that said "cannot connect using SSL - do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?" Click Yes
8. You will see a message that says POP verified and then the Verizon account will show up in the email accounts list
